Membership Fees
Athletes will need to purchase a base membership from Athletics Victoria and also pay a club fee. This ensures the athlete is covered with insurance for training and competing throughout the year and grants them access to our facilities.
You then decide which packages or events you wish to enter on top of your membership. In order to be eligible for relays an athlete must ‘purchase’ the Relay package which is free. Please remember that there is also a club fee on all memberships.
Members need to register and pay the full membership fee (club and AV) online at Athletics Victoria in order to be eligible to use the facilities at Dolomore. The AV online portal can be accessed here.

Member Duties
Athletics Victoria relies on volunteers to operate. All AV Officials are volunteers. Everyone you see at XCR, AVSL and most Championship events are volunteers. To enable these events to be held, you are required to complete a duty throughout the season as a requirement of your annual membership.
For the coming season Mentone has over 220hrs of volunteer hours to fill. We have volunteer duties to fill at most XCR & AVSL meets during the winter and summer seasons.
In the 2023-24 season we have included in our membership a $30 duty levy. If you complete a duty throughout the season, you can apply to have the $30 levy refunded. If you are unable to complete a duty, your levy will be used to pay other people to do it.
To volunteer for a duty please click on the roster link and add your name to the roster for your preferred date and time. You can share a duty with someone else, and you can often still compete in an event on the day of your duty. Please speak to a Mentone Committee member if you need flexibility with your nominated duty.
If you (or someone you know would like to complete additional duties and be paid for them, please contact us via the link below. Payments for duties will be $60 for a full duty (between 3-5hrs) or $30 for a shared duty (1-3hrs).
